Therese is a retired teacher of Religious Education and part-time lecturer in Law; having lectured at degree level. She was educated at Durham University having read Theology and later at Leeds University having completed a post-graduate Law degree, and more recently successfully completed the first stage in training as a solicitor, completing her Post Graduate Diploma in Law at the College of Law, York.

She lives in Bradford with her long-term partner of over twenty years and her beloved Scottie, Rufus and Jack Russell, Chester, although spends some of her time in the South of England. Since her retirement in 1995, she has been heavily involved in helping her local community in Bradford, dealing with contentious planning issues and with more sensitive issues relating to the Bradford riots of 2001. She was for several years an independent director of South Bradford Community Housing Trust which delivers affordable housing to 23,000 homes in the local community and she has also sat on various related committees.

Therese now uses her legal skills and knowledge to help people in her community who cannot afford expensive legal representation.

When Veritas was launched in the February of 2005, she believed it to be the only political party which would have both the vision and the courage to address the problems which Britain was facing in the 21st century and having met both Robert Kilroy-Silk and Patrick Eston in the Midlands, she was convinced that Veritas was the party for her. She now has the honour of being classed as a founder member of the Party. Since joining Veritas she has worked tirelessly on behalf of the Party, standing in the General Election for Bradford South and quickly becoming involved at the heart of policy and decision-making within the Party.

Her involvement with the party has been a roller-coaster in terms of her work-load, having been Chair of the Standards Committee during the Party’s painful troubles with the VMA, drafting Party rules and contributing to the drafting of the new constitution, including offering legal advice when required.

She was honoured with the task of becoming the new Party Secretary which places huge responsibility on her in terms of ensuring that the Party conducts itself within the existing legal framework. Part of her duties related to the conducting of the ballot on the Party’s new constitution and the recruitment of members onto the National Executive Committee. More recently she has been largely responsible for the drafting of the guidance document for those members standing in the Local Elections and she is part of the Local Election Campaign team.

With the sudden resignation of Patrick Eston in 2008, Therese was appointed Acting Party Leader with the full support of the NEC and Patrick Eston, and later elected to the position of Party Leader. She continues to work tirelessly on behalf of Veritas.

Carl Faulkner was born in Rochdale in 1961. He is married with two children. Since leaving school at 16 he has done a variety of jobs including several years in both the merchant navy and prison service. He currently works in the insurance industry.

Since his first vote in the 1979 General Election he has, at some point, voted for each of the old parliamentary parties in the mistaken belief they would do what was best for Britain. He considers himself to have been completely betrayed. He believes it is a sentiment he shares with every decent British citizen whose votes have also been taken for granted.

He feels so-called patriotic MPs have consistently done what is best for either their own parties or other countries and not what is best for the people of this country. Carl will always put the interests of Britain first.

He believes the only chance to stop our country being ruined beyond repair is by the emergence of a fair-minded political party that puts Britain first. That is why he decided to join Veritas. That is why he decided to stand as a parliamentary candidate at the 2005 General Election, and more recently, in the local elections.

Brian's career has been spent in business and project management and systems analysis, design and development in a variety of industries and in the private, public and not-for-profit/voluntary sectors. Now that he is effectively retired, Brian has an interest in writing and lecturing on subjects that are dear to his heart. Included amongst these are interests in the development and importance of culture and civilisation, and in our broadening awareness and understanding of our human nature, creativity and place in the cosmos.

Brian's interest in politics was first sparked in the 1970's having read George Orwell's '1984', which convinced him of the need to protect the freedom of the human spirit, and he joined Jeremy Thorpe's Liberal Party after becoming acquainted with the ideas of Jo Grimond. In the years since 1997 Brian became deeply saddened at the destruction of things that he holds precious - our sense of nationhood, identity, our rich cultural heritage and democracy - and our seeming powerlessness to prevent it. He believes that those who are driving this agenda of change seek to deny us an effective voice in our affairs, and by coercion and manipulation seek to impose their blueprint for humanity on all of us.

Brian says: ‘In creating Veritas in 2005 Robert Kilroy-Silk and his co-founders provided an opportunity for us to fight back, to reclaim what is ours. Not least of the things that we have lost is our democracy: it belongs to the people, and it must be restored to us. We do not seek isolation in the world, but a community of nations working together for peace, security, prosperity, sustainability and the alleviation of poverty and injustice. Our purpose in Veritas is to carry this mission forwards; and to provide a rallying point, and be a political advocate, for all of those people who share our beliefs and values.’

James was born at Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent in 1946 the eldest of five children. His mother was a munitions worker and his father served as a soldier in the Parachute and the Special Air Service regiments during the war years.

Being the eldest of four brothers and a sister, he was expected to take care of them when both parents worked. James was educated in a typically formal state school system leaving school with no qualifications at the age of 15. His first job was that of an apprentice with the National Coal Board.

At the age of 24 he decided that he needed a change of career direction and sought employment as a company sales representative. Within a short period he secured an appointment with a large multi-national company where he served his formative years in sales. After four years and eager to improve his prospects he moved companies taking on both the sales and marketing roll of a division of a large PLC. Later he was engaged as a trouble-shooter for the main board of directors. He was later given the opportunity of forming a new division of another multi-national PLC. After a period of less than twelve years the new division performance exceeded that of the parent company.

In 2000 James decided to leave the multi-national and set-up business on his own account with a maritime invention. After researching funding opportunities, his company secured maximum funds to develop the invention. After successfully completing his research and developing a high profile product, the marine media exposure was truly complimentary. In 2002 James was presented with the DTI Smart Award for Innovation by Sir John Harvey Jones at Manchester University. In late 2004 James sold his company to business investors.
